Join Us In-Person in NYC for Our Pelvic Mechanics Workshop

Hey there!

Our Pelvic Mechanics Workshop is coming to Brooklyn, NYC on June 6th, and this workshop is designed for birth professionals who want a deeper understanding of how movement, positioning, pelvic mechanics, and soft tissue tension can influence pregnancy, birth preparation, and labor itself.

Count down to 2026-06-06T14:00:00.000Z

We also have workshops coming up in VA, NC, TX, and CA!

Birth preparation is so much more than just telling someone to “do squats” or “sit on a birth ball.” In this workshop, we break down how the pelvis actually moves throughout labor, how different pelvic levels may require different movement strategies, and how we can use movement intentionally to support fetal positioning, pelvic mobility, pressure management, and pushing mechanics.

One of the things we love most about this workshop is bringing different professions together in the same room. A pelvic floor PT may approach birth prep differently than a doula. A labor nurse may cue movement differently than a fitness professional or chiropractor. But when we all have the same foundational understanding of pelvic mechanics and the birth process, we are able to better collaborate and better support our clients.

Throughout the workshop, we also discuss practical ways that each profession can better support their clients prenatally within their own scope of practice. This may include movement strategies, mobility work, pelvic floor considerations, positioning, strength training, comfort measures, pressure management, or ways to better educate clients about the birth process. While each profession brings a different lens to prenatal support, understanding pelvic mechanics allows us to more intentionally guide our clients throughout pregnancy and labor preparation.

The workshop is now approved for both 5.5 ICEA credits AND 5.5 nursing credits as well!

Gina and Roxanne are amazing teachers!! I‘m a birth and postpartum doula and attended their recent Pelvic Mechanics Workshop in Seattle. It made a huge difference to be able to learn and practice with them and other local doulas in-person. Was already a fan and now I have more confidence in applying what I learned with families. Go now, don’t pause for a hip shift, and sign up :)

We’ll cover:

  • Pelvic mechanics for pregnancy, labor, and pushing
  • How the inlet, midpelvis, and outlet function differently
  • Movement strategies for different phases of labor
  • Pelvic floor considerations during birth prep and pushing
  • Practical ways to immediately apply this information with clients and patients
  • How different professions can collaborate together to better support birth outcomes and client experiences

If you’ve been wanting a more in-depth and practical understanding of birth mechanics, we would love to see you there!

Hey there! This past weekend Roxanne and I ran a 10K race together, which is Roxanne's first postpartum running race! And she did it without having any prolapse symptoms! I promise she signed up on her own with absolutely no pressure or coercion from me whatsoever... If you've been around here for a while, you probably know that Roxanne and I both have prolapse. At one point, that diagnosis felt really scary. Like many of you, we were told that if we had prolapse, we might need to give up...

Hey there! In this week's newsletter, I want to break down our approach to pelvic floor balance. It's been a game changer for our clients in helping them feel better in their bodies, and it's how I personally approach lifting heavy weights (for me at least, lol) and racing half marathons with zero pelvic floor symptoms despite having a grade 2 prolapse and four births. But first, a recap from our weekend! But, first a recap on our weekend! Roxanne and I just got back from a weekend of...

Hey there! Over the past 10 years of MamasteFit, Roxanne and I have really grown as professionals. The way we approach prenatal fitness, birth preparation, birth support, and postpartum recovery has evolved so much over the years. We will always be learning and evolving, which can sometimes be a hard thing to accept. Because if you're constantly learning, that means the way you do things today may be different from the way you did them five years ago. On one hand, it can make you wonder: does...
