Pelvic Mechanics for Birth Workers & Movement Pros: Sept 19th, Asheville NC

We would love to have you join us in Asheville, or at one of our upcoming workshops in Dallas-Fort Worth, TX or Los Angeles, CA!

I’ve actually never been to Texas before in my entire life (well, maybe briefly in an airport), so I’m excited to head there, see some of my friends from deployment, and teach you all!

This course was amazing! As a doula, one of the areas I’ve struggled with most is knowing which movements and positions to use and when. This course helped everything make so much more sense.
Being able to actually see and understand the pelvis and pelvic floor and then learn how different movements and positions can support the body at different points in labor, was incredibly helpful. I also loved learning how these techniques can be used both to prepare for birth and during labor itself.
The course was packed with practical information that I feel like I can actually use with my clients. I walked away feeling much more confident in understanding why I might suggest a certain movement or position during different stages of labor rather than simply having a list of techniques to try.
Such a valuable course for doulas and birth professionals. I learned so much and am really excited to put what I learned into practice with my clients!

What You’ll Learn at the Pelvic Mechanics Workshop

In this workshop, you’ll leave with a solid understanding of the patterns of the pelvic floor and how those patterns impact pelvic mobility. These patterns can contribute to prenatal discomforts, and you’ll learn how to recognize what may be contributing to those discomforts and use movement strategies to help your clients find relief.

But we aren’t only looking at prenatal discomfort!

These same patterns can impact how the pelvis moves during labor and potentially make it harder to create space at different levels of the pelvis. You don’t need to wait until labor to figure out how to create space in the pelvis.

We can support our clients prenatally to improve pelvic mobility, release tension in the pelvic floor, and support baby’s position in preparation for birth. Then, during labor, you’ll understand how to use different positions and movement strategies based on where baby is in the pelvis and where we need to create more space.

You’ll leave with strategies you can immediately start using with your prenatal and birth clients!

As a labor and delivery nurse and a mom, I’ve been following MamasteFit for a long time. When I had the opportunity to attend their in-person Pelvic Mechanics Workshop, it exceeded my expectations and was well worth both my time and money.
I’ve completed other workshops that were significantly more expensive and a few days long, and I found this one-day MamasteFit workshop to be even more helpful, practical, and accessible. We had plenty of time to ask questions and practice the movements with feedback from both Gina and Roxanne.
I left feeling empowered with knowledge I can use both professionally and personally, and I would highly recommend it to anyone preparing for birth or working with pregnant clients.

Hey there! Today is the day! It’s the final day of swim team tryout week, and we have been working all summer toward this day. I’m not sure how many spots are available on the team, but both my son and Roxanne’s daughter (who is also trying out) are looking good! So, we will see! I feel really anxious about it, but we’ve done everything we could this summer to prepare. Now it’s just up to the coaches, so fingers crossed! Send your good vibes our way! I’ll keep you updated on how it goes! 100...

Hey there! Summer is coming to an end way too fast; this is our final week of summer before the new school year starts! Next week, my son has his swim team tryouts after a full summer of working hard in the pool, so wish him luck! ICYMI: Back in June, my six-year-old son was kicked off the summer league for not being a strong enough swimmer (yet). He was pretty upset, but he used that disappointment all summer to learn how to swim all four strokes AND swim over 1,000 yards in a single...

Hey there! This past weekend was a busy one for us! We competed in our first speed puzzling competition, which was actually our state championship. We both competed in the solo puzzle and then completed a pairs puzzle together. For our pairs puzzle, we placed 14th, which was very exciting! Now, we need to get back to our 18,000-piece puzzle that we paused for the summer. Another big win was that Roxanne upped her long run distance to 7 miles! I quickly abandoned her on our weekly long run......
