Closing a Chapter, Chasing New Goals, and Training with Prolapse

Hey there! Last week I shared how my motherhood fitness journey has shifted. For almost a decade, my training cycles revolved around preparing for pregnancy, prenatal fitness and birth prep, then postpartum recovery. There was always another restart coming. And now there isn’t. This might sound repetitive at this point, but I am definitely complete with four kids. I do not want more babies. But I am still sad that my pregnancy and birth chapter is closing. With every chapter shift in my life,...

Hey there! I hope your week has been going well. I’m on my way back from Los Angeles after teaching our pelvic mechanics workshop this past weekend. It was such a great group, and I’m excited to share that we’ve added another workshop to the schedule in Asheville, NC this fall. We are also working on another LA workshop for November for our California folks who missed this last one. See our full workshop schedule In addition to teaching, I also ran the Disneyland Half Marathon. I snagged a...

Hey there! This week’s newsletter is all about returning to running after pregnancy. I took about a 10 year hiatus from racing after competing in college and into my early adulthood. Running was still part of my life, but getting back into racing felt hard as I navigated pregnancy after pregnancy. Running often felt really uncomfortable during pregnancy, and then once I finally felt ready to train and race again, I also felt ready to have another baby. It was a beautiful cycle, but it meant...

Hey there! This week’s newsletter is all about returning to workouts after birth, whether you are itching to get back to movement or it feels impossible to even think about right now. We get a lot of questions like: When is it safe to return to workouts? Do I have to wait for the all clear, or can I start before then? How do I even know if I am ready for certain movements? The most commonly accepted standard is returning to workouts after your provider gives approval at your postpartum 4 to 6...

Hey there! Baby Harvey is doing so well in his first week earthside. Roxanne is feeling amazing this postpartum, and we are so, so thankful that her birth was smooth and without any complications. Thank you all for following our motherhood journeys over the past 8+ years and for helping us welcome one last MamasteFit baby (or is it? lol). Thank you Little Milk Bar for the flowers! In celebration of Harvey’s birth, we are running a sale! You can use code HARVEY20 for 20% off all of our online...

Hey There!👋🏻 Today I wanted to share part 1 of Roxanne's birth story, because the end of pregnancy is often one of the hardest and least talked about parts. By her third trimester, Roxanne had officially finished midwifery school. After years of training, studying, and supporting others through birth, it was finally time to shift her focus fully to baby prep and waiting for her own little one to arrive. In those final weeks, Roxanne spent a lot of time moving because it genuinely felt good....

Hey there! Baby watch continues… unless this email is outdated by now, fingers crossed! I leave tomorrow to head to Disney to do the Goofy Challenge (a half marathon followed by a marathon the next day) that Roxanne and I were supposed to train for and run together. Alas, smut novels were a part of Roxanne’s 35+ books read in 2025… so this may be the first birth that we miss of each other’s. Luckily, we have an amazing support team in place for Roxanne, but I would still love to be there too....

Hey there! Roxanne is still pregnant... but ANY moment now... Baby boy and Roxanne are looking great after her most recent prenatal check up with her midwife, so we are just waiting for labor to start! Roxanne isn't really doing any "natural" induction methods, outside of drinking a tea she likes (but she is drinking it because she enjoys the taste, not really to induce labor). There is a lot of controversy on whether you should do natural induction methods or not--and I think it really...

Hey there! Roxanne is officially 37 weeks pregnant with her fourth baby! So honestly, any moment now she could go into labor lol. Realistically, this baby may come closer to the new year and maybe even into 2026, but you truly never know. My last baby surprised me by showing up at 39 weeks after all of my others came around 41 weeks, so babies definitely do their own thing. Since Roxanne is in this final stretch, we have been sharing a Birth Prep Christmas series over on Instagram. Each day...
