Today's Free Workout: Pelvic Floor Mobility (Day 2)

Hey there! Welcome to Day 2 of our free pelvic floor workout week. If you missed yesterday's workout, you can find it here on our YouTube channel or in our full Pelvic Floor Foundations workout program launching this Friday, September 18th.

Today's workout is a pelvic mobility workout. The pelvic floor attaches directly to the pelvic bones, and the pelvis can actually change positions. The shift is small, only millimeters, but small doesn't mean unimportant. The pelvic floor itself is only a few millimeters thick, so that small shift in pelvic position has a real, direct impact on pelvic floor tension.

This session focuses on improving how well the pelvis moves, which in turn improves overall pelvic floor tone. If you're dealing with pelvic floor issues but find that Kegels or deep squats just aren't doing it, the answer may be outside the sagittal plane. Exploring rotation and lateral movement helps you find those triplanar shifts in pelvic position and supports the normal asymmetry of the pelvic floor.

For today's workout, you'll need a foam roller.
